About

Independent research lab focused on cryptoeconomic systems and protocol design.

Mission

Sevryn Labs studies the mechanisms underlying decentralized financial systems. Our work focuses on how markets, incentives, and protocols interact in adversarial environments.

We combine theoretical analysis with protocol implementation to understand how automated markets, credit systems, and cryptoeconomic mechanisms behave in practice.

Research Focus

Mechanism Design

We study incentive-compatible systems for decentralized protocols. Our research explores how strategic participants interact with protocol rules, and how mechanism design can align individual incentives with system-level stability.

Market Design

Our work examines automated markets including AMMs, bonding curves, and orderbook-based mechanisms. We analyze pricing functions, liquidity dynamics, and equilibrium behavior in decentralized trading environments.

Protocol Engineering

We build experimental protocols to test theoretical ideas. Implementing real systems allows us to observe behavior under adversarial conditions and refine our economic models.

Values

Rigor

Our work is grounded in formal reasoning and empirical validation. We prioritize clarity, correctness, and reproducibility.

Minimalism

We focus on essential mechanisms rather than unnecessary complexity. Elegant systems emerge from simple, well-understood rules.

Openness

Research should be transparent and accessible. We share our work openly and contribute to the broader cryptoeconomic ecosystem.

Pragmatism

Theory must connect to real-world systems. We test ideas through implementation and iterate based on observed behavior.
